Carvey decided to participate in the online drawing in September when the jackpot exceeded US$ 1 billion. “I only play Powerball when the jackpot gets there, and the prize was more than US$ 1 billion, so I bought a ticket,” she stated. To choose the numbers, she turned to ChatGPT: “I asked ChatGPT for a set of Powerball numbers, and these were the numbers I played on my ticket.”

The bet paid off. The ticket matched four white balls and the Powerball in the drawing on September 6, which guaranteed Carvey an initial prize of US$ 50,000. Thanks to the Power Play option, the amount doubled to US$ 100,000.

When checking the results, Carvey realized she had won, but she didn’t imagine the size of the prize. “Google told me it was a prize of US$ 50,000, so that’s what I thought I had won.

Only when I logged into my Michigan Lottery account did I realize I had added Power Play to my ticket and actually won US$ 100,000! My husband and I were totally in disbelief,” she shared.
