Offshore Air Transport Offered by CHC Brazil Is Essential to Enhance Extraction Processes Conducted by Petrobras.
CHC Brazil, part of the CHC Helicopter group, has just secured five new contracts for offshore air transport, strengthening its partnership with renowned companies such as Petrobras. The confirmation was made by the company last Monday, the 17th, announcing that starting in 2025, it will begin operating four more AW139 helicopters and one S-92A in Brazil. These contracts, lasting five years, will reinforce the company’s operations in the Campos and Santos Basins.
Fleet Expansion and Commitment to Petrobras
The partnership between CHC and Petrobras, which has lasted over 30 years, will be further strengthened with the new agreements.
The company has provided high-quality offshore air transport services to the oil giant since 1990, ensuring strict safety standards and operational excellence.

The operation of the new helicopters will be strategic, with two AW139s based at Cabo Frio Airport to support fields in the Campos Basin; another two AW139s and the S-92A will be allocated at Macaé Airport, serving the Mero Field, part of the pre-salt in the Santos Basin.
This expansion will allow CHC to meet the growing demand for offshore services in Brazil, which continues to consolidate as one of the largest markets for support aviation.
Growth in the Brazilian Offshore Market
CHC Brazil is also adapting to the increasing need for specialized services in the country.
To meet this demand, the company has expanded its team and utilized its global network to bring aircraft from other markets, ensuring maximum utilization of its fleet.
With the achievement of these new contracts and the start of operations of the new aircraft, CHC Brazil expects to end 2025 with 21 helicopters in the country, distributed across 18 contracts with clients in the oil and gas sector.
