Shenzhen Startup Introduces Pill Based on Molecule Extracted from Grape Seeds, Developed to Target Zombie Cells and Potentially Allow Humans to Live Up to 150 Years, According to Tests and Statements from Those Responsible for the Research

Lonvi Biosciences, based in Shenzhen and specializing in longevity and bioscience, has announced the creation of a pill aimed at combating so-called zombie cells. These aged cells no longer divide but continue to provoke inflammation and affect the body.

The company claims that the new compound could theoretically allow people to live up to 150 years. CEO Ip Zhu emphasized that the pill is not just another product, describing the formula as the Holy Grail of anti-aging.

He adds that the main ingredient of the medication has the ability to increase longevity and reduce age-related diseases, strengthening health at the cellular level.

Lonvi’s Chief Technology Officer, Lyu Qinghua, told the New York Times that living up to 150 years is a realistic projection. According to him, this possibility could become a reality in just a few years.

Scientific Basis and Test Results

The pill is formulated from procyanidin C1, a molecule isolated from grape seeds. This substance had already been associated with greater longevity in rodents, and the tests conducted by the company reinforced earlier findings.

According to the results presented, laboratory rats treated with the formula lived 9.4 percent longer in total. Additionally, survival increased by 64.2 percent from the first day of treatment.

Changing Perception in China

The topic of longevity has gained prominence in the country. In 2024, the average life expectancy in China reached 79 years, five years above the global average. The growing interest from authorities and the public suggests that this number may continue to rise.

Gan Yu, co-founder of Time Pie, a Shanghai-based company that also researches longevity, claims that the landscape has changed rapidly. According to him, anti-aging was seen as quackery in the past, but now many Chinese show interest and have the resources to seek alternatives that prolong their lives.
