With 581 Meters and Four Interconnected Towers, the Boardwalk at Bricktown Complex in Oklahoma City Will Surpass the One World Trade Center and House Residences, Hotel, Shops, and Leisure Areas
What may soon become the tallest building in the U.S. has just received approval to be built with “unlimited height,” according to People magazine. The new record-holder, which will surpass the One World Trade Center, will not be erected in New York, Chicago, or Los Angeles, but rather in Oklahoma City, in the heart of the country.
The Future American Giant
Called Boardwalk at Bricktown, the complex was designed by the company AO and developed by Matteson Capital.
In January, organizations requested the Oklahoma City Council authorization to erect a 1,907-foot tall (581 meters) tower. Previously, the project had approval for 1,750 feet (533 meters).

Building a 95-square-meter house in 2026 can start at around R$ 185,000 at the reference base and exceed R$ 330,000 in high standard, but the final cost depends on the land, finishing, fees, and the region, with the South of the country being among the most expensive in Brazil.

A small church built in 7 weeks in 1961 stands surrounded by skyscrapers in Balneário Camboriú, the city with the most expensive square meter in Brazil, accommodating only 60 people and defying decades of verticalization and luxury on the coast of Santa Catarina.

Satellite images analyzed by Reuters reveal that China is building a vast network of over 80 launch platforms, bunkers, and communication centers in the Xinjiang desert near its nuclear silos, in an effort that analysts say aims to ensure the capability to retaliate in the event of an attack.

The Supreme Court approved Ferrogrão by nine votes to one, the railway that had been stalled for five years and is expected to provide a shorter route for soybeans from Mato Grosso to flow towards the north of the country.
The new authorization will make the building 40 meters taller than the One World Trade Center and will rank it as the sixth tallest in the world.
“AO is excited that the City Council has approved the unlimited height request,” the company stated in a release to People. According to the note, the decision will allow “to transform the city into a global destination.”
A Multifunctional and Symbolic Complex
The Boardwalk at Bricktown will be a mixed-use structure, combining residences, hotel, commercial areas, restaurants, and leisure spaces in a total area of about 500,000 square meters.
At the base levels, the project will include open plazas and spaces for retail and dining. From this base, four towers will rise: three at 105 meters tall and the main one, called Legends Tower, at 581 meters.
In addition to being the tallest building in the country, the tower will carry historical significance: its height number — 1,907 feet — references the year Oklahoma was ratified as the 46th U.S. state, in 1907.
“While honoring the past, the Boardwalk projects the future, representing a catalyst for the urban evolution of Oklahoma City,” AO stated on its official website.
What Will Be Inside the Tallest Building in the U.S.
The building will include 1,583 residential units, a luxury hotel, and 20,000 square meters dedicated to restaurants, shops, and entertainment.
According to the developers, the project aims to provide “a complete urban experience” and a “modern architectural tapestry” that combines comfort and innovation.
When Will It Be Ready
The first phase of construction is scheduled to start later this year, including the Dream Hotel by Hyatt, condominiums in the Dream Tower, and two residential towers.
The Legends Tower, part of the second phase, is expected to be completed by 2030, according to Gulf News.
If it follows the schedule, the Boardwalk at Bricktown will become the 18th building to hold the title of tallest in the United States — and the first outside New York. Before the One World Trade Center, the record belonged to the Willis Tower in Chicago.
