Catarinense Company Development Program, Prodec Announced That 400 Jobs May Be Created. US$ 124 Million Will Be Invested in Santa Catarina
Prodec, the Catarinense Company Development Program, reported that more than 400 direct and indirect jobs are expected to be generated and approximately 124 million reais will be invested in the State of Santa Catarina. Besides the data, the program also demonstrated the economic recovery of Santa Catarina. The results were presented to the Deliberative Council by Rogério Siqueira, Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development.

The state governor, Carlos Moisés, stated that “Even during a pandemic, with the priority of saving lives and ensuring care for patients, we also adopted measures for the economic recovery and to guarantee the employment and income of the people of Santa Catarina. This is one of the actions to ensure that the state continues to develop in all regions. Thus, Santa Catarina has stood out in generating job vacancies, industrial production, and other economic sectors.”
Rogério Siqueira emphasized that one of the goals of the State Government of Santa Catarina through the Secretary is to promote entrepreneurship, employment, and income. “Enduring state policies generate opportunities for the people of Santa Catarina. These opportunities strengthen the spiral of prosperity, hope, and trust. This is our purpose here at the Secretary. Prodec is an example of a strong policy that attracts investors and acts directly on the growth of the State,” Rogério added.

In Tijucas, Portobello approved projects exceeding 144 million reais, and the company intends to expand its branches and increase its production capacity of glazed roof tiles. The expectation is to generate around 135 direct and 203 indirect jobs.
In the Campo Alegre region, Salubi Dairy Industry and Commerce has a forecast of investing R$ 673 thousand, and the action is expected to generate 26 direct and indirect jobs.
