New Public Competition of Detran Promises to Launch Announcement Soon. Check Below Which Positions Will Be Offered, Main Activities, and Salaries of the Positions Offered in the Competition.
The Department of Transit (Detran) – DF is preparing to launch a new competition with hundreds of vacancies. According to official announcements, there will be 182 vacancies for the position of Traffic Agent, as well as opportunities for the position of Specialist in Traffic Activities, both requiring a higher education degree.
Change of Nomenclature in the Public Competition Detran
The Detran competition will offer 645 vacancies, including authorized and appointed positions, for various positions in DF. This forecast includes vacancies for the positions of Traffic Agent, Analyst in Traffic Activities, Specialist in Traffic Activities, and Technician in Traffic Activities.
Although the public competition of Detran is still in the planning phase, expectations are high, as the agency seeks to fill important positions for improving its services and ensuring safety in transit in the Federal District.

In the reasoning that accompanied the proposal, the general management of Detran reported that the change eliminates inequalities and adjusts the needs of the career, aiming to have it standardized.
Furthermore, it emphasized that the reformulation points towards the training of more qualified servers, with specific implementation duties, reinforcing the development and control of public traffic policies.
What Are the Salaries Offered in the Public Competition Detran?
According to the most recent salary tables available on the Transparency Portal, the initial salaries of the Detran competition vary between R$ 4,420 and R$ 8,190.00 depending on the position and level of education required. To have a basis, check the amount for each position:
- Specialist in Traffic Activities: Initial: R$ 8,190.00 | Final: R$ 10,876.20;
- Analyst in Traffic Activities: Initial: R$ 6,006.00 | Final: R$ 8,238.80;

Traffic Agent
Responsible for planning, coordinating, controlling, evaluating, and executing activities related to traffic policy and enforcement actions, performing traffic operation, ensuring safety and fluidity in transit.
Technician in Traffic Activities
Responsible for executing activities related to supporting the performance of the duties of the Traffic Activities Career and executing other activities of interest to the area.
Analyst in Traffic Activities
Responsible for supervising and controlling the activities of accredited, contracted, or associated entities with Detran DF, among others.
How Was the Last Detran Competition?
The most recent Detran DF competition was held in 2022, offering 366 vacancies distributed between the positions of Technician in Traffic Activities and Analyst in Traffic Activities. Salaries ranged from R$ 4,650 to R$ 6,437.50.
The selection process involved stages such as objective test, essay test, Biopsychosocial evaluation for PWD candidates, and Heteroidentification Procedure for black candidates.
In 2011, the entity also held a public competition offering 100 vacancies for the position of Traffic Agent. The examination was organized by Fundação Universa and included Objective Test, Essay Test, Physical Aptitude Test, Psychological Evaluation, and Social Investigation.
