Vacancies Available for Technicians

The vacancies for the career of technician at MPU are distributed as follows:

Administrative Technician: 56 vacancies for candidates with a higher education degree in any field.
Institutional Police Technician: 8 vacancies for those with a higher education degree in any field and a driver’s license in category B or higher.
Nursing Technician: 1 vacancy for graduates in Nursing.

The approved candidates in this career will receive an initial salary of R$ 8,529.65 for a workload of 40 hours per week.

Distribution of Vacancies

The MPU 2025 public contest presents regional competition.

The candidates must indicate the state in which they wish to compete, according to the distribution of vacancies available in the notice. The distribution of vacancies, considering the positions, is as follows:

Administrative Technician: 1 vacancy in each capital of the country and 30 for the Federal District.
Institutional Police Technician: 1 vacancy each for Acre, Amapá, Amazonas, Federal District, Pará, Rondônia, Roraima, and Tocantins.
Nursing Technician: 1 vacancy for the Federal District.
Legal Analyst: 1 vacancy in each capital of the country and 30 for the Federal District.
Specialized Analyst: 1 vacancy for the Federal District in each specialty.

Registrations and Fees

The registrations for the MPU public contest will be accepted from 4 PM on January 13 until 4 PM on February 27. Candidates must register on the website of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), the organization responsible for the contest.

The registration fee amounts are R$ 95 for the technician career and R$ 120 for analysts, with payment due by February 28.

Members of low-income families registered in CadÚnico and bone marrow donors can request a waiver of the registration fee from January 13 to 15, also through the FGV website.

Dates of the MPU Contest Tests

The tests for the MPU public contest are scheduled for May 4 and will be applied in all state capitals, including the Federal District.

The candidates will take objective and essay tests in different shifts, according to the position applied for:

Analysts: from 8 AM to 12:30 PM.
Technicians: from 3 PM to 7:30 PM.

The essay tests will not be administered for candidates for the position of institutional police technician, who will take objective tests, Physical Ability Test (TAF), medical evaluation, and training program.

Structure of the Objective Test

The objective test for all positions will consist of 80 questions, with 50 for Module I (General Knowledge) and 30 for Module II (Specific Knowledge).

To be approved, candidates must:

Correctly answer at least 12 questions from Module I.
Correctly answer at least 25 questions from Module II.
Correctly answer at least 45 questions in total on the objective test.

Subjects of the MPU Contest

The subjects vary according to the position. For example, for administrative technician, the test will include:

Module I:

Portuguese Language: 20 questions
Basic Concepts of Sustainability: 5 questions
Basic Concepts of Human Rights and Accessibility: 5 questions

Module II:

Institutional Legislation: 5 questions
Specific Knowledge: 45 questions
For analysts, the structure is similar, with specific variations according to the area of expertise.

Essay Test

The essay test will be administered for all candidates, except for the position of institutional police technician. The assessment will consist of a dissertation-style essay, with 20 to 30 lines, worth up to 40 points. Only the essay tests of candidates qualified in the objective test will be graded, and those with a score below 20 points will be disqualified.

TAF, Medical Exam, and Training Course

Candidates for the position of police officer at the MPU will not take the essay test. The first 500 approved candidates in the objective test will be called for the TAF, which will include exercises such as:

Pull-ups (only for male candidates).
Static bar test (only for female candidates).
Abdominal exercises.
12-minute run.

The approved candidates will be called for the health examination.

Only the 400 best-ranked candidates based on the competition modality will participate in the professional training program.

After completing all stages, the MPU contest will be approved and will be valid for two years, extendable for up to four years.

During this period, the agency may call upon the approved candidates.
