Qualification to Boost Brazilian Tourism
According to the Ministry of Tourism, training programs like this are essential to prepare professionals in different regions of Brazil to receive domestic and foreign tourists with quality and efficiency.
“The goal is to increasingly qualify the sector so that the tourism activity is carried out by trained professionals, and that Brazil offers a welcoming and professional reception to visitors,” the ministry stated in a note.
The proposal is aligned with the goals of the National Tourism Plan (PNT) 2024-2027, which seeks to enhance Brazil’s competitiveness as an international destination.
Brazil Records Historic Growth in International Tourism
Data released by UN Tourism this week reinforces the positive outlook for Brazilian tourism. The country recorded a 48% increase in the entry of international tourists in the first quarter of 2025, compared to the same period in 2024.
With this performance, Brazil surpassed destinations such as Chile, Ecuador, and Curaçao, ranking second in the world growth chart in the sector, only behind Paraguay.
Between January and June 2025, the country welcomed over 5.3 million foreign tourists, achieving the best result in the historical series for a first semester.
This number already represents 77.3% of the annual goal set by the National Tourism Plan for 2025, which anticipates the entry of 6.9 million international visitors. If the current pace is maintained, the country could exceed, still this year, the target of 8.1 million international tourists projected for 2027.
Free Enrollment Open Until October 14
Enrollment for the tourist assistance course is now open and can be done until October 14, 2025 through the official Qualifica Turismo platform website:
There is no limit on spots, and the course can be started immediately after registration. The content is self-instructive, allowing the participant to progress according to their availability.
Free Tourism Course Can Boost Employability
With the increase in tourist flow, there is also a growing demand for qualified professionals in hospitality, events, tour guides, travel agencies, receptive transport, and other related segments.
The course offered by the Ministry of Tourism and UFMA is an accessible opportunity for those seeking entry into the job market, additional qualification, or even a career transition focused on the tourism sector.
