Result Raises Questions About Cybertruck’s Traction Capacity in Extreme Stress Situations
The Tesla Cybertruck recently faced an unusual challenge: a tug-of-war against a diesel Chevrolet Silverado. The outcome was surprising and didn’t even conclude as expected.
Showdown Between Titans Disappoints
Competitions between vehicles, especially involving electric models, always attract attention.
A tug-of-war seems to be the ultimate test of strength and endurance. This time, the channel YouTube Cyber Hooligan decided to put the Cybertruck face to face with the Silverado in a contest that promised to be intense.

Watching the two trucks, many bet on the Cybertruck’s futuristic and robust design as a natural advantage.
First Attempts Frustrate the Audience
In the first round of the tug-of-war, the Silverado won easily. The scene repeated itself in the second attempt, disappointing those expecting a more balanced duel.
In the third round, a change was made: the Silverado was placed in park, with no one at the wheel. Even so, the Cybertruck faced difficulties.
Although it started to pull the diesel truck, the Cybertruck soon lost power, stalled, and ended up rolling backward, unexpectedly concluding the contest.
Technical Problem Hampered Performance
The reason for the failure drew attention. It seemed that some safety device in the Cybertruck activated the moment the vehicle began to be pulled backward.
The system cut all power, turning the Cybertruck into a heavy load with no traction. Even without a driver, the Silverado managed to hold off the Tesla long enough to demonstrate the problem.
Performance Raises Questions for Tesla
The episode made it clear that, at least in this type of extreme situation, the Cybertruck still has limitations.
The partial victory only occurred when the opponent was stationary and without active control. This performance raises doubts about the Cybertruck’s current setup for brute force testing.
It is expected that Tesla will investigate what caused the power shutdown and seek improvements to prevent such failures from happening in the future.
While winning a tug-of-war is not the main goal of a vehicle, these tests serve to showcase the durability of vehicles in unusual conditions. For the Cybertruck, this was a reminder that there is still room for adjustments.
