What was the Chevrolet Tracker Midnight like?
The end of the Chevrolet Tracker Midnight is a great loss for many Brazilians. Although it was not a limited edition, the Chevrolet SUV followed a formula already well known for the brand, used in other models such as S10, Onix Plus and Cruze. It featured black logos, front grille, wheels, side mirrors and bumper appliquรฉs, as well as a black mask on the front headlights.
Inside, the dark color continued to be present in the black seats with gray stitching and the straight-based leather-covered steering wheel. In addition, there were glossy black parts in some places, such as around the steering wheel controls and the automatic transmission lever. Everything was quite discreet, unlike the red details of the RS version, which worked well and attracted some customers.
Positioned between the LT and LTZ versions, the Tracker Midnight had the same equipment as the LT version, including six airbags, air conditioning, reversing camera, 8-inch multimedia center with Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay, cruise control, controls of stability and traction, face key with push-button start, and steering wheel with height and depth adjustment.
Chevrolet Tracker Midnight delivered 116 horsepower
Based on its positioning, the Chevrolet SUV is still in the range of the model that uses the 1.0 three-cylinder turbo engine โ the 1.2 turbo appears only from the RS configuration onwards, for R$ 163.820. There are 116 hp at 5.500 rpm and 16,8 kgfm of torque from 2 rpm.
With the car empty and in the city, it delivers good performance, however, it lacked torque, which could be one of the reasons why the brand brought the Chevrolet Tracker Midnight to an end. The lack of torque occurred when the engine it was below 2 revs, a consequence of turbo lag and being a heavier car than the รnix.
