Detran GO Announces New Public Competition With 1,000 Vacancies and Salaries Above R$ 4,000, Offering Opportunities for Traffic Agent and Examiner.
The Department of Traffic of the State of Goiás (Detran GO) plans to hold its first competition for permanent staff throughout 2024. This information was confirmed last Tuesday (26) through an official note and announcements on social networks. Recently, the Legislative Assembly of the State of Goiás (ALE GO) approved the creation of its own personnel framework, establishing around 1,000 new vacancies.
Positions Open in Detran GO Competition 2024
Although 1,000 vacancies were approved, it has not yet been confirmed whether all of them can be filled in the first Detran GO public competition. The project is expected to be sanctioned in the coming days by the governor of Goiás, Ronaldo Caiado.
In any case, it is already certain that Detran will offer opportunities for traffic agent and examiner, requiring a higher education degree in any area of training and an initial salary of R$ 4,258 for a 40-hour workweek. The career will also include the possibility of working on weekends and holidays based on necessity and public interest.

According to the president of Detran GO, Delegate Waldir, efforts are being made to further professionalize services. Governor Ronaldo Caiado is investing in improving and expanding services intelligently.
Soon, with the Detran GO public competition, the agency will have reinforcement in its staff with technicians and specialists, allowing for improvement in driver training and traffic enforcement.
Currently, the agency’s staff consists of commissioned personnel and temporary employees. According to a note issued by the government, in addition to traffic enforcement, the agency oversees the regulation and control of the activities of permit holders, Driver Training Centers, workshops, clinics, and companies dealing in used parts.
Learn How the Last Detran GO Competition Went
In 2021, Detran GO held a public competition for the filling of 100 vacancies for the hiring of temporary staff for the position of traffic examiner. The selection was organized by the agency itself and consisted of two stages: the Curricular Analysis of a classificatory and eliminatory nature, and an Interview, of a classificatory and eliminatory nature.
To receive points for complementary courses, higher education, master’s, specialization, doctorate, or professional experiences, according to the criteria defined in the Scoring Table of the Detran GO competition, candidates needed to register them on the Selection Portal, attaching the supporting documents, following the guidelines of the form.
The Interview stage was eliminatory and classificatory and had a maximum value of 50 (fifty) points. The interview was conducted by an Examining Board established by a specific ordinance of the Secretary of Administration. A candidate’s absence from the Interview resulted in automatic elimination.
Additional Information for Participants
Participants in the last Detran GO competition were required to hold a Bachelor’s degree issued by an Institution duly recognized by the MEC. Certification of completion of a traffic examiner course, endorsed by Detran GO, through the Traffic Education Management. They also had to meet the other requirements:
Be at least 21 years old, have a valid National Driver’s License (CNH) for at least 2 years. Not be serving a suspension of the right to drive or revocation of the right to drive, and not have committed any serious infraction in the last 12 months counted from the date of the announcement.
They were also required to have availability for travel, not to have worked with any Driver Training Center (CFC) in the past 12 months, counted from the date of the announcement.
