Main Responsibilities

Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment, diagnosing defects through schematics, drawings, catalogs, analysis, and technical evaluation of them, disassembling, recovering, assembling, testing, and/or replacing the more complex mechanical components;
Evaluate specifications of spare parts to be used in the equipment and request replacement parts and auxiliary materials for the execution of the services;
Perform mechanical installation of new equipment according to the schedule, etc…

Knowledge

Machining (lathe, milling machine, planer);
Centrifugal pumps, multistage;
Reducers, compressors, turbines;
Reading and interpretation of technical drawings;
Dimensional control: caliper, micrometer, depth gauge;
Alignment of rotating assembly with the help of a dial gauge or laser alignment tool.
