The Government of Ceará Is Combatting Labor Shortages: New Project Offers Hundreds of Spots in Free IT Courses in 2024. Learn How to Participate in the IT Courses and Enter the Job Market This Year!
The Government of Ceará, through the State Development Agency of Ceará (Adece) and the Euvaldo Lodi Institute (IEL Ceará), is open for registration for the new class of the Geração Tech project. The initiative, aimed at combatting labor shortages, will open free IT courses for low-income young people from Ceará.
How Does the IT Course Program Work?
There are 500 spots available for the free IT courses in Web Development and Formation, focused on training Full Stack Web Developers. The IT courses are completely free and online, and aim to combat the growing labor shortage in the field of information technology (IT).
It is worth mentioning that these IT courses were developed with the goal of training professionals to work in the job market with high proficiency in web technologies, specifically preparing individuals to work on creating web pages, applications, and more.

According to Dana Nunes, superintendent of IEL Ceará, the spots are a unique opportunity for young people throughout the state, especially those from low-income backgrounds, to enter a field of high demand in today’s market. The initiative to combat labor shortages aims to train qualified professionals who can enter a sector that is only growing.
Danilo Serpa, president of Adece, stated that technology is one of the essential pillars for the state’s economic development. With the program of free IT courses, it is expected to prepare these young individuals for the challenges of an increasingly digital market, promoting inclusion and social development.
Interested candidates must be between 18 and 29 years old and should meet the low-income economic profile, with CadÚnico or presenting a declaration of poverty + Declaration of income tax exemption, duly signed. The candidate must have completed high school and be a resident of the state of Ceará.
How to Register for the Free IT Courses?
Registrations are open until September 30 and can be completed directly through the Geração Tech project website. On the page, it will be necessary to fill in some information such as Full Name, Email, Whatsapp, and age.
It is also mandatory to have availability for accessing the IT course classes and to attend daily on the teaching platform. Additionally, candidates must have access to a computer or laptop that meets the specifications and has internet access, according to the Call for Applications.
It is important to highlight that there will be objective tests with a minimum score of 40% on the average of the tests for registration approval. There are 10 questions on Portuguese and 10 questions on basic computer science and logical reasoning.
The opening class for the free IT courses will take place on October 14. During the course, participants will receive comprehensive training, with content focused on the latest technologies and practices in the sector.
