Investments In The Next 10 Years In The State Of Espírito Santo Will Elevate The State According To Findes Survey
The Federation of Industries of Espírito Santo (Findes), through the Capixaba Forum of Oil and Gas, is predicting that the state will welcome around 20 new companies in the next 10 years. Petrobras Considers ES One Of The Main Producing States.
The main reason for the optimism in the numbers comes from the current changes occurring in the oil and gas sectors.
The Findes survey also shows that the state of Espírito Santo is attracting investments of approximately R$ 10 billion that will aid in resuming its growth, thanks to the federal government’s policy of lowering natural gas prices.
And it’s not just the offshore industry that is attracting investors’ attention; the recent launch of the onshore production revitalization program has also caught interest.

Two Main Reasons
The recently launched federal government program, New Gas Market, and the newly created Espírito Santo Gas Company (ES Gás) should attract businesses such as ceramic production, gas-based steelmaking, mining, glass factories, and power plants.
The new company (ES Gás) has officially started operations with the appointment of Heber Resende as the company’s president. At this assembly held on Monday, July 22, the initial social capital of the company was approved, with Petrobras Distribuidora holding 60.34% of the total capital and 49% of ordinary shares.
The contract that the government of the State of Espírito Santo signed with ES Gás is for a 25-year concession.
ES Gás will contribute to ensuring that the State takes the lead in regulatory points that will be essential for reducing fuel prices and unlocking approximately US$ 10 billion in investments, around R$ 38 billion.
One of the most important points of regulation is the provision for a free consumer, one that uses a large volume of gas in its industrial park and will have the freedom to build a gas pipeline to the ES Gás network.
