Enrollment in UFMA Virtual is for the Improvement Course in Data Analysis. The free online course will offer 500 slots to study at UFMA for free for the entire country. This training will be conducted by the DTED/UFMA team with the support of PROEC.
The goal of the free course at UFMA is to contribute to the qualification of educational processes in Brazil from the perspective of Supporting and developing ICTs for face-to-face and distance education promoted by the Institution; and Software Development in the sphere of education, administration, management, and communication focusing on innovation, usability, customization for the user, and adding value to the business.

Complete Your Enrollment and Study from Home through the EAD Platform of UFMA
Enrollment to study at UFMA for free for the entire country has only one prerequisite: the candidate must be a graduate in Higher Education in any field of knowledge, and the diploma or declaration of course completion must be recognized by the MEC.
Enrollment in the free online courses must be completed through a digital form, available in the DTED/UFMA system, by filling out the enrollment application from July 11 until 11:59 PM on July 17 of the current year, observing the local time of São Luís, the capital of the state of Maranhão.
Each candidate, when applying for the free course at UFMA, must electronically deposit in the DTED Selective System the Graduation Diploma or the declaration of completion of higher education, from any field of knowledge, recognized by the MEC.
Only the first 500 candidates who complete their enrollment in the free online courses at the indicated address in the announcement, duly proving the completion of Higher Education, regardless of the field, will be considered classified, leaving the other registrants.

The free courses at UFMA will consist of 06 dependent educational modules totaling 210 hours, entirely online, in MOOCs format, with the following distribution:
Python for Data Analysis: Practices with Pandas, NumPy, and Jupyter
Aim to learn to write and read codes in Python for data analysis.
Discovering Patterns with Statistics and Python
Learn the principles of statistics for discovering patterns in data using Python.
Storytelling: Visualizing Data with Python
Aim to enhance communication in presenting data.
SQL and NoSQL Databases
Identify and design database systems.
Web Scraping with Python: Collecting Data on the Web
Collect and process unstructured data from different sources.
Module 6 – Power BI: Graphics, Databases, and Report Configurations
Learn to build interactive reports and dashboards.
