The Opportunity You Were Waiting For Has Arrived! Army Offers Positions in 23 Engineering Fields Without the Need for Competition: Become Temporary Officer in 2024

This August, applications are open for 23 engineering specialties for those looking to serve as temporary military personnel in the Brazilian Army. The positions are intended for the 1st Military Region, which covers the states of Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo.

Candidates must have a higher education degree in the relevant field, in addition to being up to 40 years old. Those approved will be admitted as temporary technical officers, with a minimum contract of 12 months, extendable up to 96 months. Below is the complete list of engineering fields accepted by the RM.

  • Environmental Engineering;
  • Biochemical Engineering;
  • Cartographic Engineering;
  • Civil Engineering;
  • Civil Engineering with Specialization in Surveying;
  • Clinical Engineering;
  • Computer Engineering;
  • Industrial Automation Engineering;
  • Fortification and Construction Engineering;
  • Production Engineering;
  • Engineering with Qualification in Occupational Safety;
  • Telecommunications Engineering;
  • Electronic Engineering;
  • Electrical Engineering;
  • Electrical Engineering with Qualification in Electrotechnics;
  • Forest Engineering;
  • Materials Engineering;
  • Mechatronics Engineering;
  • Mechanical Engineering;
  • Metallurgical Engineering;
  • Chemical Engineering.

Selection Process Steps

The selection process for entry as a temporary technical officer in the Brazilian Army consists of several rigorous stages that ensure the selection of the most qualified candidates. Initially, a curriculum evaluation is conducted, where candidates’ qualifications and experiences are analyzed. Then, candidates undergo a test of specific knowledge in their chosen engineering field. Additionally, there is a health inspection to ensure that all are in good physical condition and fit for military service.

Candidates must also pass a physical fitness exam, submit certificates, and attend an orientation meeting before final incorporation. These steps are designed to ensure that new temporary officers possess both the technical competence and physical condition necessary to perform their duties with excellence.
