The Units of Alfenas, Araxá, and Pouso Alegre from Senac (National Service of Commercial Learning) Are Offering a Free Basic Level A1 English Course

This week, the program announced that there are open spots for a free English course in the cities of Alfenas, Araxá, and Pouso Alegre. The National Service of Commercial Learning – Senac has been present in the country since 1946 and is the main agent of professional education focused on the Commerce of Goods, Services, and Tourism in the country.

The aim of this language program is to develop basic communication in the English language at level A1 – CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) for free, requiring only completed Elementary Education. The course will be held in person from 04/02/2023 to 18/11/2023, on Saturdays, in the morning (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM).

Who Can Participate in Senac’s Free English Course?

The free basic English course is part of the PSG (Senac’s Free Program), which provides an opportunity for low-income individuals in Alfenas, Araxá, and Pouso Alegre. To participate in the program, candidates must be over 14 years old and have only completed Elementary Education.

How to Enroll in Senac’s Course?

Enrollment in the English course must be done in person, with the necessary documentation in hand, at the following addresses:

Alfenas: Rua Mário Barbosa Vieira, 1174, Loteamento do Trevo;
Araxá: Rua Antônio de Castro Alves, 85, Vila Fertiza;
Pouso Alegre: Av. Vicente Simões, 370, RFFSA (old center).

Senac requires some documentation for enrollment, which are:

School certificate;
School declaration (issued no more than 30 days ago);
School transcript (front and back);
CPF or document with CPF registration number (front and back);
Personal tax registration – CPF;
Identity card – RG (front and back);
Labor and Social Security Card – CTPS;
National driver’s license – CNH (front and back);
CPF registration proof;
