Cause Of The Incident In The Refinery Tank
In an official statement, Petrobras reported that the explosion in the refinery’s tank was caused by a spark followed by flames, which were quickly controlled by the refinery’s internal teams. The causes of the incident will still be investigated.
The Unique Federation of Oil Workers (FUP), Sindipetro PE/PB, and representatives of the CIPA (Internal Commission for Accident Prevention) stated that they will participate in the investigation committee to ascertain the causes of the accident.
