Multinational Kawasaki halts production at its factory in Brazil, affected by logistical problems in transportation.
Last Monday, (30/09), the Kawasaki Kawasaki Corp. of Brazil announced that production at its factory located in Manaus (AM) will be interrupted. The multinational Kawasaki informed the press that this stoppage, which began on Tuesday (1/10) and should last until October 18, is caused by the lack of inputs necessary for the production of its motorcycles.
Reasons for interruption
Kawasaki explained that logistical difficulties in transporting raw materials from overseas are the main reason for the interruption of the production.
Maritime transport uses the Panama Canal, which is currently facing a severe water shortage.

Impacts on Kawasaki production
During the shutdown period, the Kawasaki factory in Brazil will adopt collective vacations for employees directly involved in motorcycle production.
The measure seeks to minimize the impacts of the interruption in production and ensure that employees have a scheduled break.
Kawasaki do Brasil, as a multinational, is concerned about the well-being of its employees during this period.
All motorcycles that are part of the Kawasaki portfolio in Brazil are produced at the Manaus factory.
This includes everything from the most powerful models, like the Ninja H2, to the smaller trail-oriented motorcycles.
Recently, only the Ninja H2 was imported, making national production even more crucial for the availability of Kawasaki models in Brazil.
The Future of the Kawasaki Factory
Kawasaki is aware of the situation and is working to resolve the logistical difficulties that have affected production in factory of Brazil.
The expectation is that the normalization of the supply of inputs will allow the resumption of production activities soon.
Meanwhile, the multinational Kawasaki reinforces its commitment to quality and the supply of motorcycles in the Brazilian market.
Furthermore, the company is in constant dialogue with suppliers to find solutions that minimize the impact of this interruption in production.
The company is also evaluating transportation alternatives to ensure that production can resume as soon as logistical conditions improve.
The expectation is that, with collaboration between the parties involved, Kawasaki will quickly return to meeting the demand of the Brazilian market.
The company's production stoppage at its factory in Brazil brings challenges for the multinational and its employees, but Kawasaki remains focused on overcoming obstacles to ensure the supply of its motorcycles to consumers.
