The construction of Guaíba 2 also stimulated local suppliers, with the hiring of about 180 companies from Rio Grande do Sul and tax revenues of approximately R$ 102 million in ICMS and R$ 2.2 billion in local purchases.

CMPC will install another monitoring station that will measure and present data on air quality in Guaíba.
