According to information released by the MEC, ProfEPT is one of the most recognized programs in the country in the educational sector.

Take a free “Drywall Installation” course at SENAI: there are 44 open spots for a 48-hour in-person training, available in the afternoon or evening in São Paulo.
There are 656 free spots, with part allocated exclusively to public servants. The application deadline has been extended until January 10, 2025, giving a new chance to those who have not yet registered.
To participate, simply visit the program’s official website, fill out the required information, and pay a fee of R$ 160. The selection process takes place through the National Admission Exam (ENA).
Program Structure and Objectives
As announced by the MEC, ProfEPT focuses on training highly skilled professionals to work in professional and technological education.
The program is recognized by CAPES and offers an interdisciplinary approach aimed at meeting the growing demand for continuing education in Brazil.
Among the main objectives are:

Research Lines
Interested candidates can choose from two research lines:
Educational Practices in Professional and Technological Education: focused on developing innovative curricula and pedagogical methods.
Organization and Memories of Pedagogical Spaces in Professional and Technological Education: emphasizing how to structure and improve educational environments.
These lines aim to enhance teaching practices and promote educational progress.
Slots Distributed Across Brazil
According to the official ProfEPT website, the slots are distributed among various educational institutions throughout the country.
In total, 50% of the spots are reserved for staff from partner institutions. Some of the participating institutions include:
- CEFET-MG (Divinópolis Campus): 6 spots;
- IFCE (Fortaleza Campus): 8 spots;
- IFSP (Sertãozinho Campus): 8 spots;
- IFRS (Porto Alegre Campus): 11 spots;
- IFPR (Curitiba Campus): 11 spots.
These spots cover almost all regions of Brazil, ensuring that candidates from North to South can participate.
Who Can Apply?
The program is open to any professional with a bachelor’s degree, but it is especially aimed at those who work or wish to work in professional and technological education.
Public servants have priority for 50% of the spots, but they are not the only ones who benefit.
According to the published notice, it is essential that candidates are willing to participate in face-to-face activities in addition to online classes to meet the required workload.
