According to information released by the MEC, ProfEPT is one of the most recognized programs in the country in the educational sector.

There are 656 free vacancies, with a part exclusively destined for public servants. The application deadline has been extended until January 10, 2025, giving a new chance to those who have not yet applied.
To participate, simply access the program's official website, fill in the details and pay a fee of R$160,00. The selection process takes place through the National Access Exam (ENA).
Program structure and objectives
As announced by the MEC, ProfEPT focuses on training highly qualified professionals to work in professional and technological education.
The program is recognized by CAPES and offers an interdisciplinary approach that aims to meet the growing demand for continuing education in Brazil.
The main objectives include:

- Develop research aimed at integrating knowledge;

Research lines
Interested parties can choose between two lines of research:
Educational practices in professional and technological education: focused on the development of innovative curricula and pedagogical methods.
Organization and memories of pedagogical spaces in professional and technological education: with an emphasis on how to structure and improve educational environments.
These lines aim to improve teaching practices and promote educational progress.
Vacancies distributed throughout Brazil
According to the official ProfEPT website, vacancies are distributed among several educational institutions throughout the country.
In total, 50% of the vacancies are reserved for employees of partner institutions. Some of the participating institutions include:
- CEFET-MG (Divinópolis Campus): 6 vacancies;
- IFCE (Fortaleza Campus): 8 vacancies;
- IFSP (Sertãozinho Campus): 8 vacancies;
- IFRS (Porto Alegre Campus): 11 vacancies;
- IFPR (Curitiba Campus): 11 vacancies.
These vacancies cover practically all regions of Brazil, ensuring that candidates from North to South can participate.
Who can apply?
The program is intended for any professional with a bachelor's degree, but is especially aimed at those who work or wish to work in professional and technological education.
Public servants have priority in 50% of vacancies, but they are not the only ones who benefit.
According to the published notice, it is essential that candidates are willing to participate in face-to-face activities, in addition to online classes, to fulfill the required workload.
