The New Ford Ranger Has Arrived This Time in Brazil Incredibly Technological, with an Extraordinary Appearance and Unmatched Power
The new generation of the Ford Ranger is the big news from the brand at this year’s Agrishow in Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, Brazil. Set to launch in the second half of 2023, the midsize pickup will be imported from Argentina and will bring new features and a first-of-its-kind engine in Brazil: a 3.0L turbo diesel V6, according to the Quatro Rodas website.
New V6 Engine: Power and Torque on Brazilian Soil
The 3.0L turbo diesel V6 engine that powers the new Ranger coming to Brazil was called Power Stroke in the United States when it powered the Ford F-150 from 2018 to 2021. It will replace the old five-cylinder 3.2 turbo diesel and generates 252 hp of power and 61.6 kgfm of torque at 1,750 rpm. Always combined with a 10-speed automatic transmission and 4×4 drive, it is a powerful and efficient engine.
In addition to the V6 engine, the new Ranger coming to Brazil will also have a 4-cylinder 2.0L biturbo diesel option with 216 hp of power and 51 kgfm of torque. With the same 10-speed automatic transmission, this engine is more powerful and has more torque than the current 3.2.

Technological Interior and New Look for Brazil
Although Ford has concealed the cabin of the pickup with dark film on the windows, it is expected to have a technological interior. Rumors suggest it may have a pair of 12-inch screens: one for the instrument cluster and another, vertically, for the multimedia center.
Besides the V6 engine, the pickup coming to Brazil will have a 2.0L biturbo diesel four-cylinder engine with 216 hp and 51 kgfm of torque, equipped with the same 10-speed automatic transmission. With more power and torque than the current 3.2 version, the 2024 Ranger that will soon be in Brazil also features aesthetic updates, such as chrome door handles, window frames, mirrors, and rear bumper, as well as side steps on the bumper for easier access to the bed. The new alloy wheels are 20 inches.
Unfortunately, the version produced in Argentina will not feature the cheerful full-led matrix lights. The cabin of the pickup has been kept secret with dark film on the windows.
