Short deadline, mandatory enrollment, and in-person stages put candidates called for the CNH Social 2026 on alert, a program that offers free licensing and can disqualify those who fail to meet any requirement within the schedule set by Detran.
The State Department of Transit of Espírito Santo opened, on Tuesday (16), the online enrollment for the 3,000 candidates of Batch 02 of the CNH Social 2026 Program. The stage is valid for those classified between positions 3,001 and 6,000 and must be completed by 11:59 PM on July 2.
Mandatory to maintain the right to free licensing, enrollment allows those selected to start the process of obtaining their first CNH, adding a category, or changing a category. Those who do not complete the procedure within the deadline will be considered as having withdrawn and will lose the benefit, according to the rules published by Detran|ES.
CNH Social enrollment requires attention to the deadline
In this batch, only candidates classified from position 3,001 to 6,000 were called, within the 9,000 spots offered in this edition. The consultation of the list and enrollment must be done through the official Detran|ES website, in the CNH Social 2026 Program area.

Before this stage, those selected in Batch 01, from positions 1 to 3,000, already had their own enrollment period, between April 16 and May 17. Batch 03, with candidates from positions 6,001 to 9,000, will have registrations open from August 16 to September 2.
Announced on April 16, 2026, the result of those selected organized the beneficiaries into three main batches, according to the order of classification. In addition to them, the schedule includes a single waiting list on November 1, with enrollment between November 1 and 15.
Mandatory stages after online enrollment
After confirming enrollment online, the candidate needs to contact the driving school indicated by the system within 15 calendar days. This in-person stage formalizes the opening of the licensing process and allows the continuation of the other phases provided in the program.
Subsequently, the beneficiary will have 30 calendar days to complete procedures such as biometric data collection at a Detran agency and a medical exam at the informed clinic. For changes to categories D or E, a toxicological exam at a certified laboratory will also be required.
With the opening of the process completed, theoretical classes must be taken exclusively through the CNH do Brasil app. After this phase, the candidate proceeds to the theoretical test, practical driving lessons, and the practical exam, always within the defined deadlines.
Loss of the benefit can lead to a block for years
According to Detran|ES, it is up to the candidate to follow official publications, respect deadlines, and keep data updated throughout the process. Failure to comply with the stages can result in administrative withdrawal and loss of the free spot.
Failure to enroll within the deadline of Lot 02 leads to the disqualification of the candidate. According to the rules stated in the announcement, those who miss this stage may also be prevented from participating in new phases of the CNH Social for three years.
When enrollment is done, but the following stages are not completed, the penalty can be even greater. In this situation, the ban on a new registration in the program can reach five years, according to the norms disclosed by the agency.
The process of first licensing, addition, or change of category must be completed within 12 months, counted from the opening at the driving school. Thus, online enrollment represents only the beginning of the obligations to keep the benefit active.
CNH Social Program offers 9,000 free spots
In total, CNH Social 2026 offers 9,000 spots in Espírito Santo for free acquisition of the National Driver’s License. The program includes first licensing in category B, addition of categories A or B, and change to categories D or E.
Aimed at people who meet the criteria of the state program, the initiative seeks to expand access to licensing without charging for the stages provided in the process. In this edition, enrollments were distributed in lots, according to the classification of candidates.
To avoid losing the spot, the candidate of Lot 02 must access the CNH Social page on the Detran|ES website, check the list of selected candidates, fill out the enrollment form, and confirm the data by July 2.
