Where Are the IFSULDEMINAS Spots in 2026?
The 360 spots in the IFSULDEMINAS selection process are equally distributed among nine cities. Each unit offers 40 spots, organized as follows:
- Inconfidentes
- Machado
- Muzambinho
- Passos
- Poços de Caldas

Who Can Enroll in the Free Preparatory Course?
To participate in the IFSULDEMINAS selection process, a student must meet all the requirements established in the public notice.
It is necessary to be enrolled in the 9th grade of Elementary School in 2026. Additionally, the candidate must have completed all Elementary School in a public school. Another essential criterion involves the situation of social vulnerability, proven according to the income rules defined in the public notice.
Therefore, this initiative is directed at young people from public schools who wish to compete for a spot in the Integrated High School but need academic and financial support to do so.
The Federal Institute of Southern Minas Gerais structured the project precisely to reduce barriers and strengthen educational trajectories.
