Pair to Co-Develop Modular Offshore Wind Assembly System in the Adriatic Sea Using Submersible Platform and Turbines.
Gazelle Wind Power and Tugdock, specialized in floating wind platforms, have reached an agreement to co-develop a modular offshore wind assembly system. This new system will be utilized in the Molise Offshore Wind Farm project in Italy, the country’s largest offshore wind farm, aiming to generate 1.05 GW of energy through wind power. The project will cover a total area of 219 square kilometers. The first platform is set to be launched in January 2028.
This partnership represents a step forward in the renewable energy industry, demonstrating the power of collaboration to promote sustainability. Gazelle Wind Power is committed to accelerating the floating offshore wind industry, ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving net-zero emission goals through innovative and sustainable solutions that promote renewable energy. The new collaboration with Tugdock represents a significant step in this journey.’
Wind Energy and the Submersible Platform in the Adriatic Sea
Wind energy is a form of renewable energy that has gained prominence in recent years. The use of wind turbines offshore has shown to be a viable and sustainable alternative for electricity generation. In the Adriatic Sea, a new technology is being developed: the Submersible Platform, which has the potential to revolutionize how wind energy is captured and converted into electrical energy.

Illiterate or semi-literate grandmothers were trained to repair solar systems, open rural workshops, and light up homes that still depended on kerosene.

The world has bet on green hydrogen as the fuel of the future, but now faces the side effect: producing 1 kilogram requires about 9 liters of ultrapure water, and the largest projects on the planet are precisely in the driest regions of the Earth, where water is already scarce for people.
The Submersible Platform consists of a structure that is installed on the seabed, where wind currents are more consistent and intense. This allows for greater efficiency in capturing wind energy, making it an even more attractive option compared to traditional wind turbines. Additionally, installing submersible platforms in the Adriatic Sea has the potential to minimize the visual and noise impacts of wind turbines in coastal areas.
With the growing demand for sustainable energy sources, the use of wind energy on submersible platforms could become a promising solution for electricity generation. Its location in the Adriatic Sea offers a unique opportunity to take advantage of favorable wind and tidal conditions, making it an even more appealing alternative. It is expected that this innovative technology could significantly contribute to the diversification of the energy matrix in the region.
Therefore, the combination of wind energy, the installation of submersible platforms, and the potential of the Adriatic Sea makes this initiative a promising source of renewable energy. With ongoing investments and research, the use of wind energy on submersible platforms could become a viable and effective reality in the near future.
