6-Week Program Offers Immersion in GE Vernova Factories in Taubaté-SP and Florianópolis-SC
Want to give your resume a boost and learn the secrets of Lean Manufacturing in practice? Then take note: GE Vernova is opening doors for the Lean Challenge ’24. Registrations are open only until October 8, so it’s best to hurry to secure your spot.
What Is the Lean Challenge?
The initiative resumes the program that focuses on Lean Manufacturing, a management philosophy aimed at continuous improvement of processes and ideas. No wonder Lean is one of the major pillars of General Electric Vernova globally.
Participating Factories and Benefits
If you are one of the chosen ones to take part in this, you will dive headfirst into one of GE Vernova’s factories: either Hydro Power, located in Taubaté-SP, or Grid Solutions in Florianópolis-SC and also in Taubaté-SP.

You will experience six weeks of pure immersion, with the same benefits that any intern in the company is entitled to, such as medical assistance, dental assistance, on-site cafeteria (or meal voucher), transportation voucher, and life insurance.
Program Structure
The journey begins with an intensive training of a week and a half in Lean Manufacturing. Then, there are four more weeks observing the Lean process functioning within GE Vernova to identify improvement opportunities. At the end, each team will present a project to the factory leadership, and there will be a voting to choose the best one.
