Space Inaugurated in São Paulo to Boost Knowledge in Solar Photovoltaic Energy
GoodWe, a global reference in solar solutions, and FIAP, a prominent technology school in Brazil, inaugurated the Energy Innovation training laboratory in São Paulo on August 25, 2025. The space was developed to train professionals, promote technological innovation, and encourage entrepreneurship in the solar photovoltaic energy sector, consolidating a strategic partnership between academia and the market.
Modern Structure and Applied Technology
The Energy Innovation laboratory is located at FIAP, at Avenida Lins de Vasconcelos, 1264, Aclimação, São Paulo. Officially inaugurated on Monday, August 25, 2025, it was conceived as an interactive showroom.
Additionally, the environment has been equipped with the latest technology aimed at GoodWe’s residential, commercial, industrial (C&I), and utility lines, ensuring practical and specialized learning.
With this, students from courses such as Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Software Engineering, as well as other strategic audiences, will have direct access to state-of-the-art equipment.
Thus, the laboratory becomes a differential in the training process and the development of technical skills aligned with the sector’s demands.

Objectives and Impact of the Initiative
The laboratory was born with the mission of integrating FIAP’s academic expertise with GoodWe’s technological leadership.
Through this union, the space was designed to train professionals prepared for the challenges and opportunities in the solar energy market, ensuring relevance for both industry and society.
Additionally, Energy Innovation adopts advanced solutions, such as:
- BIPV (Building-Integrated Photovoltaics), integrating solar panels into architectural structures.
- Hybrid inverters with battery storage, increasing energy efficiency.
- Grid ZERO solutions, optimizing energy consumption.
- Export limitation systems, ensuring greater integration with the electrical grid.
Therefore, the space will not only be a training center but also a hub for research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, capable of stimulating sustainable projects and impactful technological applications.
Practical Use of the Equipment
The equipment provided by GoodWe will be used in courses, workshops, and training sessions, benefiting both FIAP students and industry professionals.
In this context, the presence of solutions such as hybrid inverters and storage systems will provide hands-on experience with technologies that are already a global trend in the solar energy market.
Thus, participants will have direct contact with tools that meet the current demands for sustainability and energy efficiency, while also developing practical skills aligned with the reality of the sector.
A Partnership Focused on the Future of Energy
To mark the inauguration, Fabio Mendes, Vice President of GoodWe in South America, emphasized the importance of the union between innovation and education.
According to him, “education and innovation are the pillars for transforming the solar energy sector in Brazil, and this partnership with FIAP represents that perfect combination”.
Moreover, Dr. John Paul Hempel Lima, Academic Director of FIAP, highlighted that the project reinforces the institution’s commitment to training professionals prepared for a transforming market.
In his words, “the Energy Innovation laboratory is a milestone in the teaching of sustainable technologies, as it connects our students to real and innovative solutions”.
Thus, the partnership between GoodWe and FIAP reinforces the role of education and research as engines of transformation for the energy transition in Brazil.
