This initiative, awaited for years, will ensure that Espírito Santo will gain a new and modern Event Center in Carapina, in Serra, consolidating the state as a hub for large national and international events and replacing the old structure with a new one, meeting the needs of the current market.

Details of the Bidding and Project Schedule
The estimated investment of R$ 228.6 million is intended for the construction of cutting-edge infrastructure, with a completion deadline of 1,275 calendar days, equivalent to approximately three and a half years.
Thus, the expected delivery for the first half of 2029 is already on the horizon for the residents of Espírito Santo and the events sector.
According to information from the Department of Buildings and Highways (DER-ES), the bidding process for this large project will occur via electronic competition.
The session opening is scheduled for September 22, 2025, at 3 PM, when proposals will be evaluated based on technical and price criteria, ensuring the choice of the best company not only by the lowest cost but also by the quality, innovation, and sustainability of the project.
The transparency of the electronic process ensures the fairness of the competition and the selection of the best proposal for the state.
A New Milestone for Capixaba Business Tourism
The new structure will be a milestone for capixaba business tourism, with the mission to increase the State’s capacity to host large fairs, exhibitions, conventions, and events.
The constructed area of the complex will be approximately 29,000 square meters, and its total capacity is to accommodate more than 35,000 people. This means a significant direct and indirect economic impact, generating jobs in various sectors, from construction to hospitality, gastronomy, and services.
The main Pavilion will have 23,000 square meters, becoming one of the largest and most modern in the country. The grandeur of the project extends to all details, with spaces carefully planned for versatility:
- Total constructed area of 28,954.96 m²;
- Auditorium and convention center with space for up to 1,600 people, ideal for large plenaries and lectures;
- Outdoor exhibition area of 2,735.41 m², which can host outdoor exhibitions and special stands;
- Parking with 1,829 spaces for cars, buses, motorcycles, and passenger vehicles;
- Bicycle rack and exclusive areas for boarding and disembarking that ensure traffic flow on-site;
- Space reserved for future expansion of the complex, demonstrating long-term planning.
These detailed specifications show the government’s long-term planning for the site, which will become an important engine of economic development for Serra and for Espírito Santo as a whole.
The construction of the new Event Center in Carapina is an investment in the future, reinforcing the state’s position in the national events and business landscape and raising the infrastructure standard to welcome visitors from all over the world.
