The Brazilian Startup Psyche Aerospace Successfully Completed The First Flight Of Its Agricultural Drone, The Harpia P-71. After Six Months Of Development, The eVTOL Faced Challenges, But The Team Managed To Overcome Them.
Psyche Aerospace, a Brazilian startup based in São José dos Campos, São Paulo, conducted the first successful flight of its agricultural drone, the Harpia P-71. After six months of development, the eVTOL, designed for agricultural spraying, faced challenges during the first flight test with the company.
However, the startup claimed it managed to overcome all the issues during this initial phase. The company is now focused on refining the prototype through field testing, aiming to become a leader in the agricultural drone sector in the coming years.

Nietzsche hit the nail on the head when he said that we reject ideas based on their tone, not their content, and science confirms this today with confirmation bias and reactance in practice.
Based in São José dos Campos, in the interior of São Paulo, the company dedicated six months to the development, design, and testing of this innovative technology aimed at agribusiness.
Victor Galvão, a master’s degree holder in engineering and responsible for the technology and engineering of the project, highlighted the challenges faced during the development of the Harpia P-71.
The drone has unique features, being an eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle), which required specific solutions for issues such as weight, energy, control, and structure.
Galvão emphasized the lack of references for drones of this size, highlighting that the team had to innovate at various stages of the project.
Thus, he stated that the success achieved in the first flight was only possible due to the team’s dedication and respect for the development process.
Startup Psyche Aerospace Now Focuses On Improving The Agricultural Drone
With the successful inaugural flight, Psyche Aerospace is now concentrating its efforts on consolidating the prototype and enhancing its functionalities.
During the next week, the company will begin a new cycle of field tests to validate and optimize the versions developed thus far. This is a crucial step before entering the scaling manufacturing phase.
Psyche Aerospace aims to contribute to Brazilian agribusiness and wants to become a reference in the agricultural drone sector.
Now, the Harpia P-71, which represents the sixth version of prototypes developed by the startup in just a few months, promises to be the largest spraying drone in the world, with the largest payload of pesticides to be sprayed.
João Barbosa, co-founder of Psyche Aerospace, expressed confidence in the path set by the startup, reinforcing the vision of becoming a leader in the development of agricultural drones for spraying.

Bom dia! Já tem curso para pilotar o HARPIA ????
