As reported by Petronoticias, this activity will have a daily cost of US$ 410 thousand, and the contract will extend until June 25.
This oil well is strategic for bp, which holds a 50% stake in the area in partnership with CNOOC Petroleum (30%) and Ecopetrol (20%). Now, it is preparing for the start of drilling in the region.

Acquired in the 5th Round of Sharing, in 2018, the area had bp as the winner, holding a 50% stake, in partnership with CNOOC Petroleum (30%) and Ecopetrol (20%).
In addition to Pau Brasil, bp operates as the operator in several blocks across the country, with highlights including S-M-1500 in the Santos Basin, C-M-793 and C-M-755 in the Campos Basin, and BM-BAR-346 in the Barreirinhas Basin.
With stakes in other blocks, such as BM-BAR-3, BM-BAR-5, C-M-477, Dois Irmãos, and Alto de Cabo Frio Central, the company reinforces its presence in the national exploratory scene.
