An Area Of 35,806 Km2 Has Just Received An Ibama License To Be The Target Of A Seismic Campaign In The Santos Basin. CGG Was The Company Chosen By The Oil Companies Petrobras, Chevron, Repsol, ExxonMobil, BP And Shell That Hold Assets In The Area.
CGG Is To Use Its Vessel Named “Geo Caribbean” And The License Obtained Last Week Is Valid Until March 31, 2020.
The Project Is Being Called Santos Phase IX And CGG Will Collect Seismic Data In Areas That Were Acquired By Major Oil Companies In The Last Pre-Salt Auctions.
