IBGE Opens Applications for Public Contest: More Than 40 Positions Available

Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), through the Official Gazette, announced on Monday (8) the registrations for a new public competition. With 43 available positions, the selection process is aimed at the position of Research and Mapping Agent, offering a salary of R$ 1,512.38.

Opportunities in Three States and Attractive Benefits

The temporary positions cover the states of Mato Grosso do Sul, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul. In addition to the salary, those who are approved will be entitled to benefits such as meal assistance (R$ 658.00), transportation assistance, preschool assistance, vacation, and proportional 13th salary, making the offer even more appealing.

Functions and Commitments of Selected Candidates in IBGE Public Competition

The professionals chosen for the position of Research and Mapping Agent will be responsible for visiting households and establishments to collect statistics, contributing to the conduct of research. The initial contract lasts for one year, with the possibility of extension, but does not exceed the limit of three years.

Registrations and Selection Process

Participation in the selection process does not require payment of an application fee. Interested individuals must register in person at IBGE offices, specified for each location of the vacancies, during the period of January 8 to 12.

Applicants must present the completed and signed application form, as well as the necessary original documents or notarized copies at the time of contract signing.
