IFCE Is Accepting Applications For Over 4 Thousand Spots In Free Technical Courses In Various Areas. The Free Courses Are Distributed Across More Than 30 Units Of The Institution.
The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceará (IFCE) is accepting applications for in-person free technical courses with over 4 thousand spots spread across 31 units in various regions of the state. The IFCE technical courses include areas such as mechanics, gastronomy, environmental science, and more.

The Fortaleza Campus is not included in this selection process for the free technical courses; however, it is estimated that a new announcement will be made on the 28th for the capital’s unit. This announcement will include the following cities:

Petrobras will pay for you to take a course: in partnership with Senai, there are 2,000 free spots with assistance of up to R$ 858 per month and a certificate recognized by the MEC in industrial areas with high demand in Brazil until 2026.

The announcement includes three modalities of free technical course offerings, namely integrated, where students take free courses and traditional high school simultaneously at the institute, concurrent, for those attending high school at another school and who will take technical courses at IFCE in the opposite shift, and subsequent, focusing on students who have already completed high school.
Enroll In The IFCE Free Courses
The selection process will occur in a single stage and will take into account the grades listed in the participants’ school history. Applications will be conducted exclusively online from September 15 to October 8, without a fee, via an electronic form available on the IFCE website, in the candidate’s area.
According to the institution, the novelty of this new announcement for free courses is that the submission of the required registration documentation will also be done online, through the application system.
IFCE emphasizes that it reserves 50% of the total spots in the free technical courses offered per course/shift/campus for graduates from public schools. Within this percentage, there is also a reserve for candidates with a family income equal to or less than 1.5 minimum wage per capita, as well as quotas for self-declared black, indigenous, and brown individuals and people with disabilities.
