Brazilian Navy Opens More Than One Thousand High School Vacancies for the South, Southeast, Central-West, North, and Northeast Regions!
A new announcement for the Brazilian Navy’s upcoming competition allowing female enrollment is now available. There are 1,080 vacancies for high school candidates who wish to pursue a military career as a Marine Corps Soldier. There are opportunities for the South, Southeast, Central-West, North, and Northeast regions. Check how to participate in the selection process.
The high school vacancies will be distributed among male and female candidates for training in 2024. It is worth noting that this is the first time the Navy accepts women for the Marine Corps Soldier competition.
They are also divided between broad competition and black candidates according to various Military Organizations.

High School Vacancies Offered by Brazilian Navy
The vacancies are separated below by groups:
- Group I: Navy Unit in Rio de Janeiro (285); Navy Unit in Brasília (65); Marine Group in Rio Grande (30); 2nd River Operations Battalion – Belém (25); 3rd River Operations Battalion – Ladário (29); 1st River Operations Battalion – Manaus (52); Marine Group in Natal (38); Marine Group in Salvador (16);
- Group II: Navy Unit in Rio de Janeiro (285); Navy Unit in Brasília (65); Marine Group in Rio Grande (30); 2nd River Operations Battalion – Belém (25); 3rd River Operations Battalion – Ladário (29); 1st River Operations Battalion – Manaus (52); Marine Group in Natal (38); Marine Group in Salvador (16);
Requirements: For this competition, candidates must be 18 years old and under 22 years of age by June 30, 2024, and not be exempt from military service. A complete high school education is also required along with a minimum height of 1.54m and a maximum height of 2.00m.
Benefits: During the training, recruits will be entitled to food, uniforms, medical-dental assistance, and will receive a remuneration according to their rank, as cost assistance for their personal expenses.
The career of a marine soldier has a total salary of R$1,303.90 during the training period. After graduation, it will be R$2,294.50; this amount consists of base salary plus a military additional of 13% and a qualification additional of 12%.
Enrollment for the MARINE CORPS SOLDIER Competition
Enrollment must be done from January 16, 2023, until 11:59 PM on March 2, 2023, through the Navy’s website, AT THIS LINK, with fees amounting to R$ 40.00. There will also be in-person enrollment locations from February 27, 2023, to March 1, 2023, in the municipalities of Marataízes – ES and Rio Novo – MG.
Those registered in the Federal Government’s CadÚnico, with a monthly per capita family income less than or equal to half the national minimum wage, and bone marrow donors can request an exemption from the fee.
