A supposed UFO sighting in the rural area of Campo Largo, in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba, transformed the life of digital influencer Mayk Leão, 31, in recent days. The case, recorded on the night of May 31, 2026, gained national attention after videos posted on social media accumulated millions of views and sparked debates about the possibility of an unusual aerial phenomenon.
The information was released by g1, which interviewed the influencer and gathered reports, positions from the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) and preliminary analyses from specialized researchers in anomalous aerial phenomena. Since then, the episode has been arousing curiosity among internet users and dividing opinions between skeptics and enthusiasts on the subject.
According to Mayk, the experience was both beautiful and frightening. Moreover, he claims that the events recorded that night continue to affect his routine, especially his sleep.

Influencer claims he still faces fear after the episode
In an interview with g1, Mayk revealed that he spent days unable to sleep properly after the supposed sighting.
According to him, not only did the social media repercussion contribute to this state, but also the strange sounds he claims to have heard in the forest near the property where he lives.
The influencer described the experience as something difficult to explain rationally.
According to his account, the noises seemed like a form of communication composed of crackles and metallic sounds that remain etched in his memory.
Additionally, he stated he feels as if he received something he cannot fully describe.
Despite the fear, Mayk also recalls the episode with admiration.

For this reason, he stated several times that he wished more people had been present to witness what happened.
It all started with strange behavior of the animals
Mayk lives alone on a small farm located in an isolated area of Campo Largo.
The property has little infrastructure, lacks running water and cell phone signal, and is situated in a region surrounded by forest.
Additionally, the influencer raises approximately 280 animals, many of them rescued by a non-governmental organization with which he collaborates.
According to him, the first signs that something different was happening appeared during the morning of May 31.
The animals showed unusual behavior and began running around the property agitatedly.
Initially, Mayk believed there might be some wild animal in the area.
As a precaution, he took a bow and arrows that he keeps on the property and went to check the situation.
However, he found no immediate explanation for the animals’ movement.
Later, while walking through a wooded area near the property’s boundary, he noticed an electric fence was down.
At that moment, according to him, the sounds he considers the strangest of the entire experience began.
Mysterious sounds preceded the appearance of the lights
According to the account, the noises did not resemble common sounds of nature.
Mayk described the experience as a combination of crackles, roars, and metallic tones emitted by a single sound source.
Additionally, he recorded some videos for his social media stories capturing what he was hearing.
After returning home, the influencer continued to monitor the situation.
Shortly afterward, already in the late afternoon, another phenomenon caught his attention.
According to him, a sound similar to the operation of a ratchet began to be heard over the residence.
Mayk compared the noise to the movement of a very large vessel.
At that moment, he still believed he might be interpreting the situation incorrectly.
Therefore, he continued recording everything on video so that others could also follow what was happening.
Mysterious lights appeared over the forest
As night fell, the situation gained new elements.
According to the influencer, lights began to appear in the region of a mountain range visible from the balcony of his residence.
He claims that the luminous points were neither on the ground nor above the mountains.
According to his description, the object seemed to hover near the trees and the region of a river located more than three kilometers away from the house.
Furthermore, Mayk believes that the lights remained visible for a period between 20 and 40 minutes.
The records published on social media show images taken with maximum zoom from an iPhone 15.
For this reason, the videos became pixelated and ended up generating doubts among part of the public.
Even so, the influencer assures that the material did not undergo any type of editing.
According to him, the place where the lights appeared is in a dense forest area, with irregular terrain and no direct access from the property.
Out of fear, he decided not to approach the point where the phenomenon occurred.
Case went viral and took followers from 46 thousand to over 951 thousand
The episode quickly gained unexpected proportions.
At the time of the event, Mayk had around 46 thousand followers on social media.
However, after the videos were released, his profile experienced explosive growth.
According to the report, the number of followers exceeded 951 thousand people.
Additionally, just one of the videos related to the case surpassed the mark of two million views.
Meanwhile, other content published in the stories also registered thousands of accesses.
Consequently, the subject began to be discussed by people from different regions of Brazil and even abroad.
Support, criticism, and threats marked the repercussion
With the popularity of the case, various reactions also emerged.
On one hand, many people got in touch reporting similar experiences.
On the other hand, the influencer claims to have received criticism, insults, and even threats.
According to Mayk, some messages suggested that he remove the videos and claimed that he was dealing with powerful people.
Despite this, he claims to have no intention of deleting the content.
Additionally, he refuted comments suggesting the use of drones or a marketing strategy related to the release of a science fiction film.
According to him, there is no relation between the videos and promotional campaigns.
FAB states that it did not detect unknown objects
In light of the case’s repercussion, g1 sought the Brazilian Air Force for clarification.
In a statement, the FAB informed, through the Airspace Control Department (DECEA), that no unknown objects were identified on air defense radars on May 31.
Furthermore, the agency stated that airports in the region also did not report any unidentified objects.
According to the institution, airspace control occurred normally throughout the mentioned period.
Experts call for investigation before any conclusion
Although Mayk claims to have no doubts about the nature of the observed phenomenon, experts recommend caution.
The investigator of Anomalous Aerial Phenomena Elaine Wartha Motta, a member of MUFON Brazil, explained that the images show a luminous phenomenon that still needs to be analyzed in detail.
According to her, it is necessary to rule out conventional hypotheses before any conclusion.
Among them are meteorological phenomena, atmospheric reflections, and even the passage of aircraft.
Moreover, experts advocate for laboratory analyses of the original images and technical visits to the location.
For this reason, ufologists and researchers have already shown interest in visiting the property and evaluating the records made by the influencer.
Influencer wants to file a police report to document the case
Even recognizing that there is no specific police investigation for this type of situation, Mayk intends to formalize a police report.
According to him, the aim is not to request a criminal investigation, but to officially record the episode for history.
Furthermore, he believes the document can help preserve information related to the sighting.
While experts analyze possibilities and the FAB maintains the position that there were no abnormal records on the radars, the case continues to spark curiosity.
For Mayk, however, the certainty remains that he witnessed something unusual.
And, regardless of the explanation that may arise in the future, the night of May 31, 2026, has already definitively entered his personal history.
