Free Applications and Broad Opportunities
According to the announcement, applications will be available from November 13 to December 31, 2024, exclusively online, through the IFS admission portal.
The process is completely free and simple, requiring only to fill out the electronic form, select the course and campus of interest, and follow the instructions described in the announcement.
As reported by the institution, the application confirmation must be printed, as it will be essential to track all stages of the selection.
The places are intended for students who have completed elementary school and are at most 17 years old by the enrollment date.
The courses, which integrate technical education with high school, are an excellent opportunity for those seeking high-level professional and educational training.
Public Lottery and Transparency in the Process
To ensure total fairness in the admission, the selection will be made by a public electronic lottery, scheduled for January 6, 2025.
The broadcast will occur live on the official IFS channel on YouTube. According to IFS, the process will involve three staff members responsible for auditing and validation, ensuring transparency and credibility.
In addition, the list of registered candidates will be announced on January 2, 2025, with each participant identified by their registration number, ensuring that everyone can follow the lottery without difficulties.
Inclusion and Reserved Places
IFS demonstrates a strong commitment to inclusion and equity. Half of the places are reserved for students who completed all of elementary school in public schools.
Within this quota, there are specific subdivisions for self-declared Black, Brown, and Indigenous (PPI) individuals and for People with Disabilities (PcD), based on the proportion of each group in the state population, according to IBGE data.
The inclusive policy also includes 5% of the places in the open competition reserved for people with disabilities, regardless of these candidates’ educational background.
This effort reaffirms IFS’s goal of democratizing access to quality education.
