The Growth of Solar Energy in Brazil
Photovoltaic solar energy in Brazil has shown significant growth, with a forecast to reach 20.4 GW in cumulative installed capacity by 2029, similar to Curitiba in projects this year.
Intersolar Northeast 2023, which will take place in Fortaleza on April 19 and 20, will be a platform for discussions about the future of the energy sector in the country, with an emphasis on the role of photovoltaic modules and other associated technologies.
BYD and Its Innovative Solutions at Intersolar Northeast 2023
BYD, a national leader in the production of photovoltaic modules, will be present at Intersolar Northeast 2023, showcasing a range of technologies aimed at consolidating the national solar energy market. The company will present its complete solution in clean energy generation and storage, electric mobility, and green logistics, including photovoltaic modules like the Full Black, which will be on display at the event.

New wave energy machine is placed in the sea in Spain and promises to convert wave motion into electricity during offshore tests
In addition to photovoltaic modules, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about a complete line of high-quality and safe inverters, including on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid models – single-phase and three-phase. These devices are suitable for residential projects and even large photovoltaic plants.
About BYD and Its Commitment to Sustainability
BYD began its operations in Brazil in 2015, inaugurating its first factory for assembling 100% electric buses in Campinas (SP). In 2017, it opened a second factory, also in Campinas, dedicated to the production of photovoltaic modules. Subsequently, in 2020, the company launched its third factory in the Industrial Hub of Manaus (PIM), focused on the production of lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries.
BYD is also responsible for SkyRail (monorail) projects in the country, in Salvador and in the city of São Paulo, in addition to marketing energy storage systems, inverters, forklifts, trucks, vans, and electric vehicles in Brazil. The company also became a participant in the United Nations Global Compact (UN) in April 2021.
Intersolar Northeast 2023 will be an excellent opportunity for those interested in solar energy and photovoltaic modules to learn about the innovations and sustainable solutions offered by BYD and other companies in the sector. The participation of market leaders like BYD in the event demonstrates the growing importance of solar energy in the Brazilian energy matrix and the search for cleaner and more sustainable solutions for the country’s future.
