The expansion of the industrial sector in Minas Gerais is boosting the job market and the business landscape in cities like Pouso Alegre and Passos in the southern part of the state. Data released by the Secretary of Economic Development of Minas Gerais reveals that the installation of multinationals, especially in food, pharmaceuticals, and more recently, home appliances, contributed to the opening of over 10,000 job vacancies in Pouso Alegre.

The highlight is the construction of a new home appliance factory on a 200,000 square meter area in the city.
With work starting in August, the expectation is that the construction will be completed next year.

The company, which is being built alongside MGC-146, between Passos and São João Batista do Glória, promises to generate 350 direct job vacancies, representing an investment of R$ 2 billion.
In addition to direct jobs, the establishment of the brewery in Passos has triggered other investments in the region.
A four million square meter plot of land, located in front of the brewery, will be transformed into a promising business district.
With R$ 15 million in planned investments, construction is expected to begin next year, solidifying the vision of sustainable growth for the city.
