Argentines looking for summer: enjoying their holidays in Brazil and spending less than if they stayed in their own country!

while the dollars reach historic records, the US currency reached impressive R$6,27 this Wednesday (18), international travel is becoming less and less accessible for Brazilians.

However, an economic turnaround is favoring the Argentine tourists, who are excited to explore the Brazil and enjoy the summer in tropical lands, spending significantly less than if they stayed in their own country, according to the website infomoney.

Surprising Costs: Rio de Janeiro versus Mar del Plata

A study revealed by the consultancy Ecosur, published by La Nacion, revealed surprising information.

The cost for a family of four to spend two weeks in Rio de Janeiro is almost half the amount needed to enjoy a vacation in Mar del Plata man.

According to the research, while staying in Mar del Plata can cost US$ 6.671, in Rio de Janeiro, the same experience costs just US$ 3.194. And if the idea is to enjoy the beauty of Cancún, the cost will be US$ 4.364, that is, 35% cheaper!

Comparison with other destinations

On the other hand, destinations like Punta del Este e Miami are not so lucky.

The cost in Punta del Este reaches US$ 7.225, while expenses in Miami can reach astronomical US$ 10.475.

This scenario is due to the devaluation of the real, which has made it easier for Argentines to travel to Brazil, as the economist emphasized. Juan Pablo Ronderos, from the consultancy MAP Latam, in a conversation with the Clarín.

Advantages for Argentine tourists

The economist highlighted: “Looking ahead to next summer, dollar prices for vacation essentials — such as hotels, tours, food and entertainment — will be more affordable in Brazil than in the domestic market in Argentina.. "

This reality is excellent news for our Argentine brothers, but presents a challenge for Brazilians, who now face higher costs when traveling to the neighboring country.

Brazilian tourism sector on the rise

The outlook is positive for the sector national, which is reaping the fruits of this new dynamic.

By September 2024, Brazilian tourism recorded revenue of $ 16,9 billion, representing an increase in 4,5% compared to the same period of the previous year.

This is the best result since the beginning of the historical series of IBGEIn 2011.

In total, national tourism revenues reached around $ 148,3 billion from January to September 2024, setting a record in the last 13 years, according to data from Fecomercio SP.

Expectations for the high season

With the end-of-year festivities and school holidays approaching, the high summer season in Brazil promises a significant increase in travel, attracting tourists to boost the entire sector, as indicated by the Ministry of Tourism.

Between November 2024 e February 2025, activities related to Brazilian tourism can generate up to $ 157,74 billion, representing the highest revenue in the last ten years, according to the Ministry of Tourism, based on information from National Confederation of Trade in Goods, Services and Tourism (CNC).

With this new reality, the game has changed: Brazil is becoming an irresistible destination, and Argentine tourists are ready to enjoy every moment of this unforgettable summer.
