An Employee Was Dismissed for Cause by Petrobras Transportes S.A. (Transpetro) Under Accusation of Stealing Coffee Capsules.

The Labor Court considered the dismissal for cause illegal, and Petrobras will have to rehire the employee, in addition to paying R$ 200 thousand to him. According to union information, the Engineer had over ten years with the company, a successful career, and recognized competence and ethics. According to the accusation, he would have stolen the espresso coffee capsules during a company training. Between April 16 and 19, 2018, he participated in a corporate event held at a client’s headquarters of Transpetro.

According to the oil worker’s account, during the workshop break, he had an espresso. Since he liked the flavor, he saved “two or three” to consume later in machines that were scattered throughout the event venue. The exact number of capsules he took was not reported.

The incident caused immense emotional and financial damage to the employee, people close to him report, in addition to the loss imposed on Petrobras, which was defeated in the case.

Petrobras Plans to Install Lubricants Factory in Comperj

Great news for Itaborái! Roberto Castello Branco, president of Petrobras, stated this Wednesday morning, December 4, that he is interested in establishing a lubricants unit in Comperj to operate from a connection with Reduc, a refinery in Duque de Caxias.

Castello Branco: “We have two plans. We announced a partnership with Equinor for the construction of thermoelectric plants in the Comperj area. Another plan is to use Comperj equipment to produce next-generation lubricants through Reduc, RJ.” Click here to continue reading.
