The Volkswagen Expands Its Global Presence with the Expansion of the ID. Buzz Line. The new model, ID. Buzz GTX, arrives in the market with a power of 340 horsepower. The new Volkswagen Kombi features an electric propulsion system installed on the front and rear axles, forming the advanced 4Motion all-wheel drive system.

The ID. Buzz GTX, also referred to as the new Volkswagen Kombi, will be available in two variants: one with a conventional wheelbase, equipped with a new 79 kWh battery (gross energy content: 84 kWh). And another with an extended wheelbase, combined with a new 86 kWh battery (91 kWh gross). Both GTX models demonstrate remarkable speed, capable of achieving a 0 to 100 km/h mark in about 6.5 seconds, while also excelling in great traction.

The new VW Kombi’s daytime running lights now feature a refreshed design and are integrated into the bumper on both the left and right sides, featuring two overlapping LED triangles that form an arrow.

A new exclusive Cherry Red paint option is available for the ID. Buzz GTX, which can be chosen as a solid paint or, optionally, combined with Mono Metallic Silver for a two-tone finish. In addition, six other solid colors and four two-tone paint options will be available.

The brand has customized the interior of the VW Kombi, highlighting dark colors in the more powerful ID. Buzz models, including a unique black ceiling in the GTX versions. The VW Kombi seats feature GTX design, upholstered in black “ArtVelours Eco” microfiber with a diamond pattern, contrasting red stitching, and red details.

The seating configurations vary between five and seven seats, with options for a split rear seat and longitudinal adjustments. ISOFIX points are standard in both front and rear seats. Software updates will be implemented in the GTX models, including an optional head-up display and state-of-the-art infotainment systems, now standard, with a new navigation menu and faster processor.

The touchscreen increases to 12.9 inches in the new ID. Buzz GTX, featuring a new illuminated touch bar for temperature and volume control. The voice assistant IDA, operated by natural commands, responds to general inquiries and integrates with ChatGPT. A new Wellness app adjusts the vehicle settings for the driver’s well-being.

Latest assistance systems, such as Park Assist Plus and departure warning, promote a safer driving experience. Thus, the launch of these two ID. Buzz GTX models is scheduled for the second half of the year in Europe, with pre-sales starting in June.

While Volkswagen prepares to launch a high-performance version of the Electric Kombi, the new VW Kombi is already a success in Europe. The brand reported a 24.6% increase in sales from 2023 compared to 2022. In the electric segment, a large part of this number was thanks to the van.
