The Federal Institute of Brasília (IFB) has opened 1,639 spots for free technical courses with admission scheduled for the second semester of 2026. Registrations can be made until May 29, exclusively online, for both in-person and distance learning courses in different professional areas. The selection will be conducted by electronic lottery, scheduled for June 26, and includes units spread across the Federal District.
The opportunities at the Federal Institute are distributed across the campuses of Brasília, Ceilândia, Estrutural, Gama, Planaltina, Recanto das Emas, Riacho Fundo, Samambaia, São Sebastião, and Taguatinga. Additionally, the courses cater to students who have already completed high school as well as young people and adults interested in completing their studies alongside professional training.

Federal Institute will have selection by electronic lottery
The Federal Institute will adopt affirmative action policies in the selection process, with reserved spots for public school students, people with disabilities, low-income candidates, indigenous people, quilombolas, and black and brown people. According to the rules of the announcement, each candidate may apply for only one of the offered courses.
Participation in the free technical courses does not require payment of a registration fee. Interested parties must register exclusively online, through the official IFB portal, by May 29, 2026.
