Petrobras Receives R$425 Million This Thursday, July 25, Due to Leniency Agreements and Repatriations.
Petrobras informs that it received this week R$ 425 million through the task force of Operation Car Wash due to leniency agreements and repatriations promoted by the Federal Public Ministry. The return of part of the total amount, R$ 111 million, was authorized by Judge Gabriela Hardt of the 13th Federal Court.
This week’s return involves R$ 313 million, referring to the payment of the first installment of the leniency agreement of Technip and Flexibras entered into with the Federal Public Ministry (MPF), the Office of the Comptroller General, and the Attorney General’s Office; R$ 45 million, resulting from a portion of the leniency agreement entered into between Camargo Correa and the MPF; and R$ 67 million from individuals involved in acts of corruption investigated in Operation Car Wash.
In five years of Operation Car Wash, over R$ 4 billion has already been returned to Petrobras due to collaboration agreements, leniencies, and repatriations with investigated companies that confessed to participating in the diversions that occurred in the state-owned company.
