Registrations for Course Vacancies Are Open Until May 9, Only for Residents of the State of Bahia. Classes Are Scheduled for May 23
The new phase of the Educar para Trabalhar program from the Bahia State Department of Education (SEC) opened its registrations on April 4, which will be available until May 9. The program offers 110,459 vacancies for online courses for 43 professional qualification modalities or Initial and Continuing Education (FIC), across 10 Technological Axes, in the Distance Education (EAD) model.
The course vacancies in Bahia are aimed at students and graduates of high school or technical courses from the state network. The selection process for candidates will take place on May 10 through an electronic lottery, conducted randomly and equitably, of a classificatory nature.
The partial result of the participants’ lottery will be announced on the same day, while the final result will be released on May 13. Enrollments for the course vacancies will occur between May 14 and 22, and classes are scheduled to begin on May 23. All activities of the Educar para Trabalhar program are carried out in partnership with the National Service for Commercial Learning (Senac), with the National Service for Industrial Learning (Senai), and with the National Service for Rural Learning (Senar). They are also responsible for providing education services.

In total, the Educar para Trabalhar program has made available, since last year, 200 thousand vacancies for online and free courses as part of the project to expand the offer of Professional and Technological Education by the Bahia State government, as highlighted by Ezequiel Westphan, the Superintendent of Professional and Technological Education at SEC: “We are continuing the policy of professional qualification for students and graduates of the state network as part of citizenship training and integration into the job market promoted by the state government.”

Those interested in the course vacancies must meet some requirements, which are:
- reside in the state of Bahia;
- have and present the Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF);
- be a student enrolled in high school or in technical courses from the state public network in the 2022 school year, graduates of high school or technical courses from the state public network who finished their studies in the years 2016 to 202;
- have updated personal documentation and enrollment record with the school unit to which they are or were linked.
