Applications Open for Professional Master’s with Dozens of Positions in High-Level Free and Hybrid Courses with MEC Certification
The Graduate Program in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT) from MEC announced the Announcement No. 01/2024, with opportunities for the free professional master’s course aimed at ongoing education and professional training of teachers and technicians. A total of 656 positions are offered in various regions of Brazil, distributed among general competition and employees of the Federal Network of Professional, Scientific and Technological Education.

Available Positions and Locations for the Free Course
With 656 positions for the free master’s course distributed among Associated Institutions (IAs) in different states, the MEC course offers positions for general competition and for employees of the Federal Network.
Each campus, listed in the announcement, has a specific number of positions and distributions by quotas, observing local affirmative policies. Thus, candidates can choose the nearest institution to participate.
Selection Process
Half of the positions available by MEC are reserved for employees of institutions in the Federal Network, with reserved spots also for quotas, such as people with disabilities and black, brown, and indigenous individuals, in accordance with the regulations of the IAs.
The MEC selection process will consist of a national objective test, with 50 questions, covering relevant topics in Professional and Technological Education. This assessment ensures transparency and fairness in selecting the best candidates for ProfEPT.
Requirements for Course Enrollment
To enroll in the free master’s course from MEC, applicants must have a diploma or declaration of completion of a higher education course (undergraduate, bachelor’s, or technologist) recognized by the Ministry of Education.
For applicants for the employee positions, proof of affiliation with the Federal Network is required, while those for general competition must have experience in professional and technological education. All must have access to the internet and the necessary equipment for online activities.
