Course Is Aimed At Educators From Public And Private Schools And Will Be Offered Remotely Starting In March 2025
The Ministry of Education (MEC) announced the opening of 250 thousand spots for a free special education training course focused on inclusion. Intended for basic education teachers, both from public and private schools, the course aims to train professionals to promote pedagogical practices aligned with the principles of inclusive education, according to the website Catraca Livre.
This initiative from the MEC is one of the largest ever carried out in the country for teacher training, with the goal of preparing educators to develop a more inclusive and welcoming educational environment for students with special needs. The first stage of this project includes spots at various higher education institutions and will begin in March 2025.
Training To Meet The Demands Of Inclusive Education
The MEC’s free course was developed with the aim of training educators capable of meeting the needs of special education within an inclusive perspective that welcomes all students. This model seeks to train prepared teachers to create an inclusive school environment where students with different types of needs can be fully integrated and respected in their individualities.
