Planned Works
Among the planned interventions are the duplication of 79.1 kilometers, implementation of 70.9 kilometers of shoulders, 14.6 kilometers of marginal roads, and the paving of 110.7 kilometers of unpaved roads.
The project also includes the construction of six footbridges, improvements to 162 accesses, with acceleration and deceleration lanes, as well as 26 interventions on bridges and viaducts. A total of 46 devices will be implemented at intersections, such as turnarounds and roundabouts.
The concessioned highways will have 24-hour support for users, including light and heavy towing, medical assistance, mechanical assistance, operational bases, monitoring, and traffic control.
Impact on Development
The State Secretary of Infrastructure, Pedro Bruno, stated that the lot represents a milestone for Minas Gerais. “It’s more than R$ 7 billion in investments that will modernize the road network, increase safety on the roads, and improve the lives of thousands of residents. This project will connect regions, reduce transportation costs, and expedite the flow of production,” he highlighted.
The Northwest Lot is part of strategic logistics corridors in the state, connecting the Northern, Triângulo Mineiro, Southern Minas, and Central regions. The initiative is expected to assist in the flow of products and supplies and enhance the competitiveness of the production chain.
A total of 19 municipalities will be benefited: Patrocínio, Guimarânia, Patos de Minas, Lagoa Formosa, Varjão de Minas, Presidente Olegário, João Pinheiro, São Gonçalo do Abaeté, Buritizeiro, Pirapora, Várzea da Palma, Jequitaí, Claro dos Poções, São João da Lagoa, Montes Claros, Lassance, Corinto, Bonfinópolis de Minas, and Brasilândia de Minas.

The population will be able to participate in the public consultation until 25/10. The regulations with instructions are available via a link indicated by the government.
To enhance transparency, public hearings will also be held, with dates and locations to be announced. The expectation is that the announcement will be published in 2025 and the auction will take place in the first quarter of 2026.
