Atlantic Nickel has been operating since 2009 in the exploration, mining, processing, and commercialization of nickel concentrate. The sulfide nickel produced, after undergoing a refining process, is the main component in the manufacturing of batteries that equip the growing electric vehicle market.

The operations at the Santa Rita Mine are concentrated in the municipality of Itagibá, Bahia, northeastern Brazil, about 370 kilometers from the capital Salvador (BA). The operation is well-located, close to basic infrastructure, including energy, water, and transportation, just 6 km from Ipiaú, Bahia, which supplies most of our workers.
The location is also strategic as it is only 140 kilometers from the Port of Ilhéus, a city in southern Bahia, well positioned for mineral exports.
