About Samarco
With more than 50 years of existence, Mineradora Samarco has offered several opportunities throughout its journey, as is the case of the specialist engineer, Marcos Gomes, who has been with the company for 20 years. He started at the company with an internship, joined the trainee program and won a permanent position.
According to him, the company has always been a reference in the mining area. As an engineering student from Minas Gerais, he saw Samarco as one of the best companies to work for and so, when he completed his internship, he tried to dedicate himself to learning and showing his skills. Another example is that of Gabriela Goes, a process engineer at the company, who also started with an internship. She has been working in the processing area for more than 10 years at the company, and says that she saw in Samarco the perfect opportunity to be hired in the future. According to Gabriela, the internship was a way to understand and experience the day-to-day life of the company.
